System Capabilities

The Catalyst Suite

Engineered specifically to eliminate mechanical drafting friction across BCBC, NBCC, and North American architectural standards.

Killer Feature
MOD-01 // TOPOLOGY ENGINE

Auto Documentation

Powered by a proprietary graph-topology engine. Automatically generates permit-ready, multi-string exterior and interior dimension chains, suite demising boundaries, and intelligent annotations across all floor plans.

AI Powered
MOD-02 // ULC COMPLIANCE

Performance Calculator

Instantly parses Revit physical layer hierarchies against official ULC/ASTM standards. Automatically computes and assigns compliant FRR (Fire-Resistance) & STC (Acoustic) ratings to complex asymmetric assemblies.

1-Click Sheet
MOD-03 // DRAFTING FACTORY

Legend Factory

Eliminates repetitive 2D drafting. Reads live 3D wall and floor assemblies to generate fully formatted, dimensioned, and annotated assembly legends and drawing sheets instantly.

Data Governance
MOD-04 // NOMENCLATURE

Assembly Rename Center

Standardizes project-wide naming conventions. Automatically categorizes structural roles, core thicknesses, and performance ratings into rigorous, human-readable types (e.g. 6" STEEL FRAME CORRIDOR WALL (60MIN FRR)).

Silent Inject
MOD-05 // BIM INFRASTRUCTURE

Environment Setup

Silently deploys enterprise-grade Shared Parameters, standardized detail tags, and annotation families into active project files with zero configuration friction.

For me, architectural production has always been about bridging the physical reality of a building with the digital tools used to design it. My journey in the AEC industry began hands-on in 2013—building furniture and framing walls on local construction sites. But my true differentiator has always been a deep-seated curiosity for using digital technology to optimize how we work.

Over the past decade working across Western Canada, I progressed from an Architectural Technologist to a BIM Manager and Senior Technologist. My portfolio spans everything from boutique wood-frame developments to complex 20-storey student housing towers and intricate elliptical glass-curtain office buildings. Driven by a constant desire to push the limits of software, I've consistently sought to exceed project expectations, including spearheading a previous firm's complete transition from traditional CAD to advanced 3D Revit environments.

Throughout my career, I observed a frustrating paradox: while digital models were becoming increasingly advanced, technologists were still burning countless hours on the tedious, repetitive tasks of manual drafting, dimensioning, and tagging just to meet strict industry drawing standards. The constant context-switching between resolving critical high-level design issues and formatting low-level drawing details was a massive drain on human energy and firm profitability.

FLY BIM was born from this exact frustration. By translating over a decade of architectural production experience into a proprietary automation engine, I built the tool I always wished I had. My goal is simple: to help architectural firms eliminate tedious documentation bottlenecks, allowing your team to refocus their attention on what truly adds value to the project.
